Veg Biryani

 Ingredients:

  • 1 + 1/2 cup basmati rice
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 4 onions
  • 3 tomato paste
  • 2 potatoes
    Corn
  • 1/2 cup beans
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 green leaves
  • 1/4 cup coriander leaves
  • 1/2 cup fresh curd
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 4 small cardamom
  • 2 large cardamom
  • Small cinnamon as required
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 4-5 cloves
  • 2 teaspoons biryani masala
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
    1 + 1/2 cup water 


Veg biryani

Preparation Procedure

Wash rice and soak it for the minimum one hour .

Chop 2 large onions long and deep fry.

Cut all the vegetables lengthwise.

Heat the ghee in a cooker and add all the spices.

Roast the remaining two onions and then add ginger garlic and tomato paste.

Now add turmeric, red pepper, salt and 1 teaspoon biryani masala.

Add curd and roast all the vegetables.

Now add soaked rice and the remaining biryani masala.

Now add water and cook till a whistle comes on high heat.

Garnish the biryani with fried onions and coriander.
