Easy and quick Preparation of Tomato Pappu recipe with step by step procedure.
- Half a cup Pigeon Peas
- One fourth cup moong dal
- 2 chopped tomatoes
- 1 onion
- 2 green slit chillies
- Half a tablespoon red chilli powder
- Salt as needed
- Curry Leaves
- Mustard seeds
- Ginger garlic paste
- 2 red chillies
- Pinch Hing
Take a Pressure cooker and add 1 cup dal, chopped tomatoes, Green chillies with half cup water and pressure cook for 3 whistles
Once the pressure goes down add salt, turmeric and mash the dal until it gets a fine texture.
If the consistency is thick add water and cooks till it gets the desired consistency without a lid.
Heat a pan with ghee and add tempering to it like mustard seeds and jeera when they splutter add red chillies, curry leaves when the curry leaves turn crispy switch off the flame.
Pour the tempering into the mashed tomato pappu. Let the dal cook for few minutes and turn of the flame.
